First Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament
The Officers and Executive Board members of the W.P.B.A would like to take this time to express our deep appreciation to the membership on the success of the first annual W.P.B.A Wiffle Ball tournament. First and foremost we would like to thank all of the participants for coming out. The competition, sportsmanship, and “smack talking” were all done in the best interest of the games. We would like to congratulate Stan Stasaitis & Joe Costanzo’s team, “Chin Music”, for winning the tournament. Even though no one will even remember that they played on the team. They will go down in Wiffle history as the two cops who played with the two “50 year old ringers.” The Homerun Derby was also won by Stan “Robinson Cano” Stasaitis whose daddy pitched for him as he took the competition with 12 long balls.
We would also like to thank everyone who helped organize the event, volunteer, prepare,
and clean up the fields, there are too many to name individually. Without everyone’s help, events like this would not be possible. It was great to see the support of our command staff, as well as our fellow brothers and sisters who weren’t playing, but were in
attendance. These events are for all members and their families. The W.P.B.A. board and officers are always looking for
new ideas for future events.
